BEST Strategy
There are two documents which set out the strategic aims, objectives and actions that are being considered by the steering group and the stakeholders in the pyramid. The documents – "Vision & Mission" and "Action Plan" – are under development and will be considered in detail by the Directors of BEST when they are in place. You can download them both in pdf format.
BEST Statutory Proposals
Documents entitled "Statutory Proposals" and "Memorandum" set out the BEST strategy for school improvement, development and the strategies for the raising of standards and achievement across the trust. These will soon be available for downloading.
BEST Consultation
The consultation process has three main parts. Stakeholders are consulted by letter and at a public meeting. All stakeholders are invited to complete a questionnaire (available to download on this website) and to feedback any questions or comments. You can do this by clicking on BESTcontact and sending us an e-mail.
There is a period of Representations which lasts for four weeks after the publication of Statutory Proposals. All feedback received on these proposals will be discussed at Steering Group level and shared with stakeholders via this website before the proposals are submitted to the Charities Commission and Companies House.
Thirdly, please contact BEST directly if you have any questions or comments on best@swcc.beds.sch.uk
An update of the Consultation Process is available here.
BEST FAQs
Out of the various consultative meetings held so far have come a range of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). We have produced a series of extensive documents which we hope will answer these questions. The first one is on "Trusts in General," and the second is more specifically on the "Proposed BEST Trust." Also here is a summary of the question and answer sessions at the Southill, Shefford and Shillington public consultations.
