A message from our head teacher

Thank you for your interest in our school. We accept only the highest quality teaching and push our children to achieve excellence. Alongside our established ethos of high achievement, we take pride in our requirement that children work to develop themselves, their school and their community. This is particularly noticeable in the requirement that all students undertake Community Service Projects. The scope of these projects has been wide ranging from school-based to international projects with students serving others around the world.

At Etonbury we take seriously the possibility that our future leaders, whether local, national or international, start developing at an early age and expect our students to take this development seriously.

Within the last year Etonbury has undergone a significant transformation. Two particular changes, becoming an academy and a part of the Teaching School network, have already added great value to the children at Etonbury.

Since becoming an Academy, Etonbury has benefitted greatly from working alongside such established excellence. Knowing that our students are of the highest calibre, parents can feel confident that they can settle for nothing less than the highest levels of achievement. In July 2011, our school joined Robert Bloomfield in the elite national network of ‘Teaching Schools’ run by the National College of School Leadership (NCSL). Teaching School status recognises our partnership’s success in developing high quality leadership and teaching.

As an Academy we have also enjoyed the increased spending power and independence that comes with the status. Indeed, over the past year nearly £700,000 have been invested in the fabric of the school alone in order that our children can enjoy the very best facilities.

The Future of Etonbury is very bright. We are a confident school achieving brilliant success and looking forward to substantial growth. Our students are hungry to learn and staff are prepared to push the students to achieve only the best results. I love being a part of this outstanding school and am very proud of the achievements of the teachers and students at Etonbury.
