A message from our head teacher

"Samuel Whitbread is a place where all people are valued. When your son or daughter joins us we want him or her to be an important part of a wide community that sets high standards in academic work, care and respect. We are proud of all of our students’ achievements and we strive to take every opportunity to celebrate success. This success depends on the commitment of students, staff, governors and our partnership with parents. We believe that the partnership between home and school is a key part of a rewarding and happy educational experience.

I am committed to driving up academic standards at the College. I want to use every opportunity to improve the quality of our students’ learning experience and I aim to create an atmosphere where your son or daughter will matter and achieve to the best of his/her potential. We have a campus and facilities that are second to none and which give a huge range of opportunities for every student to succeed. We benefit from specialist status in Engineering (which includes Mathematics, Science and Design/Technology) but I expect the highest possible standards from all areas of the College. I am delighted by the results this year, which are well above national averages and demonstrate that Samuel Whitbread students are capable of success in all areas. We provide a wide ranging curriculum and aim to create the best conditions possible for students to achieve their academic, social and personal potential."
